Alana writes, performs, directs and produces unique theatre pieces that explore what it means to be a human being now. Alana is an ardent explorer of the inner world and is grateful to the following teachers and mentors: Madeline Lennon, PhD. (Canada), Holly Pavlov (Jerusalem), Sarah Yehudit Schneider (Jerusalem), Gabrielle Roth (NYC), Julia Cameron (NYC), Marion Woodman, PhD. (Canada), Ross Woodman, PhD, (Canada), Moshe Z. Sokol, Ph.D. (NYC), Anna Ivara (NYC), Alicia Ostriker, PhD. (NYC), Bob Holman (NYC), Barbara Kahn (NYC), Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen (MA) and Roxlyn Moret (NYC) and numerous playwriting teachers. Alana divides her time between NYC and Toronto, Canada, and calls her body home.

With fluency, Alana can move between a variety of spiritual vocabularies to explain ways of connecting with the self, the body, and the divine.  Through a gifted ability to synthesize many ancient healing and spiritual traditions with modern psychology, she blends an array of tools to assist those who seek the freedom to live authentically.

Alana is available as a script doctor and dramaturg and has acted as a professional mentor/coach to many artists in the process of developing their creative work in many genres.
